Effective April 1st, 2020, Mr. Heinrich Nieder was appointed the new managing director of PEC Europe GmbH. He takes over this function from Mr. Arne Echterbruch, who has been temporarily responsible for the management and successfully developed the company during this time. As planned, Mr. Echterbruch is returning to the south of Germany for personal reasons and will be responsible for the Business Development division of PEC Europe in the future.

Mr. Heinz Nieder was already responsible for PEC Europe GmbH, Duisburg, as Operation Manager from 2015 to 2018. In the course of the integration of PEC Europe GmbH into Hilti AG, he moved to China as Plant Manager for the production facility in Suzhou, which was taken over from Hilti AG. During the two years there, he was responsible for the move to a new plant with a modern production facility for cast-in products and successfully installed a new ERP system.

With his many years of experience as plant manager at the Halfen company, Mr. Nieder has the ideal prerequisites to continue to successfully manage PEC Europe GmbH together with Hilti AG in the future.

For our customers nothing will change in the daily cooperation, as the business relations with the employees you know will continue as before.

The Hilti Group from Liechtenstein took over the PEC Group on December 1, with the aim of further expanding their market position in the area of fastening solutions. PEC Vertriebs GmbH stopped its business operations on 30.11.2016. This was taken over 01.12.2016 by PEC Europe GmbH under the same address.

“Due to our strong international growth we were looking for a partner to make better use of our market potential. Hilti is extremely well-positioned to achieve this," says PEC founder and CEO Bernd Hebborn. Mr. Hebborn and all other PEC team members will continue to be employed in their present functions.

By combining the product lines of the two companies, Hilti will become a one-stop provider offering a broader scope of fastening solutions with anchor and installation channels. Furthermore, the manufacturing site in China will provide the company with additional capacities and optimize its access to Asian markets. “We are convinced that the PEC Group acquisition will not only strengthen our business with anchor channels but also help us to further improve our leading position in the fastening technology sector,” comments Hilti Executive Board member Stefan Nöken.
